The original East Mall Fountain at UT Austin's eastern edge was designed as a monumental water feature marking the entry to the campus. Over time the fountain has aged and its high use of water and electrical resources are not aligned with the current sustainable goals of the campus.

The newly designed East Mall Fountain will feature a monumental stairway entrance to the campus with a shallow river of water coursing down adjacent water steps. For those entering the campus, it will provide a cool relief from the heat of the summer months. At night, the steps will be illuminated to mark the campus entry.

Work completed while at PWP Landscape Architecture. In collaboration with Booziotis & Company Achitects and Gojer & Associates Civil Engineers.
